About us
At the Education Garden, we combine the opportunity to change lives through better education, literacy, and nutrition, with the chance to see the amazing country of Nicaragua located in the heart of Central America. On any given trip we may be delivering books to children, school supplies to classrooms and tutoring centers, repairing or expanding a low income school, or delivering food bundles to widows and orphans.
Through education and hands on projects we are also able to team with groups to bring modern community gardening concepts and practices to inner city slums and rural areas alike. The residents are quick to learn and excited to raise their own healthy produce. Sustainable living practices are a global necessity, but even more so when many people are existing in primitive conditions and living on just a few dollars a day.
Whether we are hiking to the top of volcanos or through a coffee plantations located in a lush jungle, visiting ancient cathedrals or strolling the streets of beautiful historic cities, Nicaragua has something for everyone. Nicaragua is home to some of the most delicious coffee in the world as well as amazing cuisine. In addition, the people of Nicaragua are some of the friendliest you would ever want to meet and we are proud to call many of them our dearest friends.
